He had planned to surprise you that early Sunday morning, hoping you were still in bed when he arrived at your house. He was so excited for his plan, he was even humming when he unlocked your front door using the key you gave him. He slowly opened the door, not wanting it to give away his arrival. Flinching slightly when the door made a creak, he released a sigh of relief when he heard no movement from you.
He placed the bag of breakfast on the kitchen table, then proceeded to your room. He had never seen it before, you had always warned him not to enter, telling him, “It would be better if you didn’t go in there. It’s a war zone, oppa, a war zone.”
But, your cautions only added oil to his ever burning fire of curiousity. He couldn’t enter it whenever you were at home, and he would always forget to visit your empty house after you left for work.
Now however, was the perfect time. He could go into your room with waking you up as an excuse. Seeing your serene face while you slept was a bonus as well. He jogged up the stairs and stopped at the baby blue door second from the left.
He pressed his ear to the door, smiling to himself when he heard your incoherent mumbles. Twisting the knob slowly, he tip-toed into the room.
Your room was a bright yellow, and your book shelf was red. He liked how your room emitted a glow, just like you. Your study table was white, and your books were scattered messily on top. He chuckled to himself, *This girl.* He made his way to your table and arranged them neatly into a stack.
Just then, he heard you shuffling around in bed. He turned around just in time to see you sitting up in bed with your eyes still closed tightly. You let out a small groan as you stretched your arms. You rubbed the weariness from your eyes, which soon widened when you saw him in the room. Your arms were tightly wrapped around a pink plush bunny, which he recognised as his first present to you.
You wrapped your blanket around yourself, before exclaiming, “OMO! What are you doing in my room, oppa!” He smirked playfully, “I can’t visit my girlfriend’s room?”
“You can… but that’s not the point here! You are in my room! I thought I specifically told you not to come in!” you ruffled your bed hair, making it even messier. He made his way over to you, settling himself onto the bed. As a reflex, you hid your bunny underneath the covers.
He raised an eyebrow at your weird behaviour, “Why did you hide my present, yeobo?” You flushed a dark red colour, shaking your head at him, “I- I- I did not,” you managed to stutter out.
His hands snaked around underneath your blanket and soon found the bunny’s fur in his grasp. He quickly grabbed it before you could respond and ran away with it to the corner of your room. He furrowed his eyebrows when he found nothing wrong with it, until his sight landed on a purple name tag on its belly.
He squinted his orbs at your scribbles that made out, “Tabi.” His eyes widened in pleasant surprise at the fact that you named a present from him, after him. “Yeobo, did you name my present after me?” You embarrassedly buried your face into your hands, mumbling a “Yes.”
At that answer, his face lit up like the sun. He raced over to you and enveloped you in a tight embrace, marking your face with kisses. “Aigoo yeobo, you’re so cute~ Was this why you never let me enter your room?” You giggled in his embrace, “Yes oppa~ And good morning!”
